About Roof Replacement

A roof you'll forget about — for the next 50 years.

Most homeowners don't think about their roof until water shows up on the ceiling. By then, the question usually isn't "can you fix it" — it's whether a patch is buying you a few seasons or whether the whole system needs to come off. We'll tell you straight either way.

When replacement is the honest answer, we do it the way we'd want it done on our own house: top-tier shingle systems from GAF and Owens Corning, full tear-off down to the deck, fresh underlayment and flashing, and a 50-year manufacturer warranty stamped on the work. If a repair will hold and save you money, we'll tell you that too — that's what our roof repair service is for.

Why Replace With Craftsman

Top-tier materials, top-tier crews, top-tier cleanup.

We don't sub the install out to whoever's cheapest. Our crews are GAF Timberline and Owens Corning certified, our pricing is on-the-spot in writing before anything starts, and the property is left cleaner than we found it — driveway swept, magnet-rolled for nails, the whole nine. That's the standard, every job, every time.

The Craftsman Replacement

Four things we want you to know before you sign anything.

Roof replacement is one of the bigger checks a homeowner writes. We'd rather you understand exactly what you're paying for — and exactly what you're getting — than rush you into a decision.

01 — When Replacement Is The Right Call

Knowing whether you actually need a new roof.

Not every roof problem is a replacement. Granule loss in a few spots, a couple of missing shingles after a windstorm, a small leak around a flashing — those are repair territory most of the time. A full replacement is the right call when the deck is failing in multiple spots, when shingles are curling and cracking across large sections, when there's been catastrophic storm damage, or when the roof has simply lived its full life and is past the point where patching makes financial sense.

We come out, we get on the roof, we look at it honestly, and we tell you which one you have. If a storm damage repair will hold for another decade, we'll tell you that. If you're throwing money at a roof that needs to come off, we'll tell you that too — and we'll show you what we're seeing, on your roof, before we say a word about pricing.

02 — Material Systems We Install

GAF Timberline and Owens Corning — and we're certified to install both.

For asphalt shingle replacements, we install two material systems: GAF Timberline (the most popular architectural shingle in North America) and Owens Corning (engineered for wind resistance and color depth). Both come with the manufacturer's full system warranty when installed by a certified contractor — and we are. The choice between the two usually comes down to color preference, the look you're going for, and budget.

For homes that call for something different — slate, cedar shake, metal, or a low-slope flat roof system — we install those too. We'll walk through which materials make sense for your roof's pitch, your house's architectural style, and your timeline. The right answer isn't always "whatever's quickest" — sometimes it's a system that costs a bit more upfront and saves you a replacement cycle on the back end.

No Sales Tactics

You'll get the same quote whether you sign today or next month.

We don't run "today only" pricing. We don't trap you in a four-hour pitch in your kitchen. The estimate we give you is the estimate — written down, itemized, and good for as long as it takes you to think it over. If a competitor is using urgency to close you, that's a flag worth noticing. We'd rather earn the work the slow way: by being right about what your roof needs and clear about what it costs.

03 — What A Craftsman Replacement Includes

Full tear-off, fresh underlayment, and the unglamorous parts done right.

Every full roof replacement we do includes a complete tear-off down to the wood deck, replacement of any damaged or rotted decking, ice and water shield in valleys and at the eaves, synthetic underlayment across the field, new step flashing and drip edge, new ridge vent, and a fresh starter course before the shingles ever go on. The shingle install is the part everyone sees — but it's the layers underneath that decide whether the roof actually lasts.

The day-of side: we tarp your landscaping before we start, we use magnetic sweepers across the lawn and driveway when we're done, we haul away every scrap of old material, and we walk you through the finished roof before we leave. You shouldn't be finding nails in your tires three weeks later. That's the job, not a courtesy.

04 — The 50-Year Manufacturer Warranty

Your roof is backed by the manufacturer — not just by us saying so.

Every full roof replacement we do comes with a 50-year manufacturer warranty on the system. Not a limited "we'll come look at it" warranty from the contractor — an actual manufacturer warranty from GAF or Owens Corning that covers the materials and the workmanship together, because we're certified to install both. If something fails, the manufacturer is on the hook, not just a small business that may or may not be around in fifteen years.

You'll get the warranty paperwork in writing, registered in your name, before we cash the final check. If you'd like to see what your existing roof has left in it before committing to a replacement, our free roof inspection is where most homeowners start.

Why Craftsman Roofing

Family-owned. No shortcuts. We treat your home like it's our own.

We started Craftsman because we'd worked at the bigger outfits and didn't like how they ran roofs — too much rush, too much sales pressure, too much "good enough." Here's what's different about us, in plain English.

  • One-hour appointment windows that work around your schedule, not ours
  • On-the-spot honest pricing — no waiting days, no four-hour kitchen pitch
  • 50-year manufacturer warranty on every full roof replacement we do
  • Licensed, insured, and certified by GAF Timberline and Owens Corning
  • Full cleanup after every job — magnet-rolled for nails, debris hauled away
