NJ Gutter Repair — Family-Owned, NJ-Licensed

Most Gutter Problems Don't Need A Full Replacement

A leaking seam, a sagging run, a downspout pulling away from the wall — these are repair calls, not replacement calls. We diagnose the actual problem and fix that, instead of upselling you the whole system.

NJ Gutter Repair — How We Approach It

Diagnose The Problem, Fix That, Move On

Most NJ gutter problems come down to four causes: lost slope (so water sits and overflows), failed seams or end caps (so water leaks through joints), pulled or under-sized fasteners (so the run sags or pulls off the fascia), and clogged or disconnected downspouts (so water backs up the whole run). Each one has a specific fix that takes 1 to 4 hours. None of them require ripping the whole system off your house.

We come out, walk the runs, find what's actually failing, and quote that. If it turns out the gutters are 25 years old and falling apart everywhere, we'll tell you — and we'll show you the photos. Seamless replacement is the right call when the run itself is shot, but that's a smaller share of calls than most contractors will admit.

What Repair Actually Looks Like

Most Repairs Done Same-Visit, Written Warranty Included

A typical gutter repair call runs 1 to 4 hours, on-site that day or first available slot. Re-pitching a sagging run, sealing a failed seam, replacing pulled hangers with proper fascia screws, clearing and reseating a downspout — these are standard fixes with predictable pricing. Every repair gets a written 1-year workmanship warranty. If the same issue comes back in that window, we come back and fix it on us.

What Goes Wrong With Gutters

Four Things That Fail On NJ Gutters — And What Each One Costs To Fix

Gutter problems aren't mysterious. They fall into four buckets, and each bucket has a real fix that doesn't require a new system.

01 — The Four Common Failures

Lost Slope, Failed Seams, Pulled Hangers, Clogged Downspouts

Lost slope: standing water you can see in the gutter after a rain — fix is re-pitching the run, usually under 2 hours. Failed seams or end caps: water dripping through specific joints — fix is cleaning, drying, and resealing with proper gutter sealant rated for NJ winters. Pulled or undersized hangers: the run is sagging or pulling away from the fascia — fix is replacing spike-and-ferrule with hidden hangers screwed into solid framing, usually a half-day for a full perimeter. Clogged or disconnected downspouts: water backing up the gutter — fix is clearing the line and reseating the elbow, sometimes adding a leader extension.

If you've got debris buildup as the underlying cause, we can pair the repair with a gutter guard install in the same visit so the same problem doesn't come back next fall.

02 — When To Stop Repairing

The Honest Line Between Repair And Replace

Repair is the right call when the failure is localized — a single seam, one sagging run, a pulled downspout — and the rest of the system is structurally sound. We can usually keep a sectional aluminum gutter system going for 20+ years on targeted repairs. Replacement starts being the smarter call when you've got multiple seams failing along the same run (the metal itself is fatiguing), when the gutters have lost their structural shape and won't hold pitch even after re-hanging, or when you're patching the same spots repeatedly. The financial line is rough but useful: if the cumulative repair quote in a 12-month window approaches half the cost of a seamless replacement, you're past the value point. We'll do the math out loud with you and show the photos. We don't push the bigger job for the bigger ticket.

What We Won't Do

No "Whole System" Upsell On A Repair Call

You called us about a leaking seam or a sagging run. That's what we're here to fix. If you've got a $400 problem we'll quote a $400 fix. We don't bait-and-switch repair calls into replacement quotes, and we don't quote phantom problems we found while we were "up there anyway." If your gutters do need replacement, we'll say so on a separate visit with a separate quote — no pressure attached.

03 — Damage Behind The Gutter

When Overflow Has Already Damaged The Fascia

When a gutter has been overflowing for a while, the water doesn't just hit the ground — it runs down behind the gutter and soaks the fascia board, the soffit underneath, and sometimes the roof decking edge. By the time you call us, half the repair calls in NJ have hidden fascia rot we have to address before re-hanging anything. We pull the gutter, inspect the wood underneath, and quote any rot repair on the spot. If it's clean, great — we re-hang and seal. If there's rot, we replace the affected fascia with primed PVC or treated wood, paint to match, then re-hang.

Severe overflow damage often pulls in the soffit too — that's a separate scope but we handle it on the same visit through our soffit and fascia repair service.

04 — Warranty & What's Covered

A Real 1-Year Warranty On Every Repair

Every gutter repair we do gets a written 1-year workmanship warranty. If a seam we sealed leaks again, a hanger we installed pulls loose, or a downspout connection we reset comes apart — we come back and fix it at no charge. The warranty is on the repair scope itself; it doesn't cover unrelated failures elsewhere on the system, and it doesn't cover damage from clogs caused by debris that built up after we left. The paperwork is signed, dated, and emailed to you the same day — keep it on file in case the same issue comes back. The vast majority of our repairs never see a callback, but if yours does, the warranty is real and the call is on our dime. Full seamless replacements carry a longer workmanship warranty plus the manufacturer material warranty stacked on top.
